Our Story

Warren grew up here and many generations of his family have worked this same land. Warren and Jane have known each other since fifth grade. Warren left tobacco farming behind in a search for sustainable agricultural practice, began organic farming and offered CSAs. They moved and restored their 1853 historic farmhouse using repurposed materials from all over Lenoir County. When Chef Vivian and her husband Ben started Chef and the Farmer, Warren asked her if he could raise vegetables and flowers for her and soon became one of her favorite farmers.

The Land

The sandy loam on Brothers Farm has produced five generations of corn, soybeans, cotton, tobacco, vegetables and flowers. Please join us for a farm tour and even work with us if you'd like in the greenhouse, hoop houses, gardens and fields!

The House

Warren and Jane moved this house from the Bryan farm when they generously donated it  after a fire destroyed their home.

They restored it and added on, using materials from all over the county. Guests will enjoy five rustic elegant bedrooms and plenty of Southern hospitality.

The Brothers Farm Experience

Warren and Jane wanted to host folks so they could experience what they live - farm to table, working and living off the land, cooking and eating fresh vegetables, and dining out at the Chef and the Farmer.
